  • Better furniture in the Flea Market than in Conns



    My husband and I purchase our first living room and a dinning set at Conns three months ago. The most terrifing experience of our life. They already replaced the left side of the sectional because it looked like a swing since we first set it up. Now the other side caved in on my mother in law, thank god she was not hurt (only weights 120lbs.) We are sitting at the floor because the four chairs of the dinning set are falling apart and I almost had in accident in one of them.   • Defective Sofa



    My husband and I purchased our sofa and love seat from Conn's back in October of 2013 and we've had problems with our sofa not having enough cushion at the base and the right hand arm rest bulging out. Service tech came out and inserted more cushion, he said that would do the trick on the base and the arm. Well, when he did that it caused the seat cushions to fluff up to high and caused them to look like they are falling off of the couch and my arm rest looks the same.     DO NOT PURCHASE WARRANTY! I purchase a laptop that was about $1,000 and they told me a warranty( I PAID AN EXTRA $600 FOR IT). I was even given an examples of what might happen to the laptops that i would be covered! well i was on my last month of paying for the laptop, i literally only owed $100! i paid it off and about 1 week later my apartment got broken into!     The delivery guys unilaterally decided to take my new refrigerator back to their warehouse cause they not haul away subzeros but nothing on their policy say that. At the moment of my purchase the salesperson forgot to include that particularly haulaway note.     Called customer service and was told service tech would contact us next day with a 2 hour window. Next day, no call! Called them and was told it would be the NEXT day. The next day still no call.     Dont go there! They act like they are giving you great credit, but they tack on agronomical finance charges to thier merchandise. I purchased a computer for 1500.00, In the end, they want me to pay 2500.00 for it by the time I pay for it. I doubled my first payment to make the payments go faster and it did not reflect anything off the $1500 purchase price at all only the 2500.00.     I have been a loyal customer to Conns for years. I had a few problems with the HP computer that I had bought but all were just repairs after repairs. Ofcourse extended warranties don't last forever but my main complain was with my IPAD. I paid roughly $1000 dollars this is including tax and extended warranty I purchased. I called the beginning of April to let them know I was unable to keep the plan because I was in a horrible accident and told them I would call them one I was back on my feet to set up a new plan.     I paid $150 extra to get repair service done on 10 month old washer machine I purchased at the Cedar Hill TX location. I have been on the phone with them for a week now and still no service.     I purchased a laptop from Conn's sunday march 13, 2011 when I took it home the computer was having problems with the internet signal inside my home. The signal will go from 2 bars to 0. My 5yr old laptop was at full signal strength, so immediately I knew something was wrong. I went back to the store on march 14 early morning to exchange the lap top.     we bought a ps3 at conn's, we took it home and within a week the ps3 is not working right so we took it back to conn's to see if they can replace it with another one. We had our original receipt and all the packaging. Called Conns and they said they did not have a ticket open and they stated that you have to call in for service. After all the paperwork was complete the balance came out to about 3200 that is with all the bull!@#$ warranties and insurance. I must not have been in my right mind to make such a foolish purchase. I was once proud of my purchase and my "Free Deliver" fee that I am still waiting to be sent to be since for three months and have not received anyting yet. After reading all these complaints, I see why I was charged the warnty after repeatedly telling the salesman "NO" I din't want it. I was told the only way to get the insurance removed is that I needed to send a copy of my homeowners policy. I did that and was told they never received it. Like the Postal service can deliver thousands of pieces of mail but just has trouble delivering to Conn's. Last, on delivery of my furniture the Chair was a used chair. I told them I don't want a used chair, they told me it was only on their floor so I'm getting the floor model after I was told everyhting would be knew. Too many problems for a first time customer. Never again.

I will never trade with them again. I find them to be dishonest , poorly run, lacking good business practices.I say that over the delivery rebate. I bought the french door refrigerator freezer at the end of November, sent in the form for the rebate in early Dec. they did not process it until the 20th. It is now ten weeks and no rebate. they say now they will start doing it. this is an outside company . but still Conns knows the have fradulent advertising. Free delivery. Well let me tell you this is not a good place. I thought Sears was bad. Not as bad as this place.

We went to buy a car n guess what we were going to get a 16% interest rate!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!! R u serious???!!!... YES, so my husband checks his credit report and to his AMAZEMENT there's an alert that CONNS has reported him for being 31-60 days late. On a account that was paid off and over paid and they were reporting he owed $1.00 one dollar yes $1.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why will you call me everyday if you havent received a payment but not call over this 1.00 why would you even report 1.00 and where's the freaking money i over paid??????????????????? We have excellent credit history with Conns to. When I call Conns they tell me the manager is gonna take care of 1.00 when i call back to see if taken care of I get a whole other story that they didnt even report this an they need proof faxed to them. Well i posted the proof on their wall so I hope it gets fixed. By the way we have a house full of Conns and have only had one other payment problem that took 4 months to resolve but was resolved. I did like Conns very much but I also wanted a good interest rate on a car which we needed badly because our other vehicle is in the shop.

We originally purchased a 47 in. Led TV, computer and refridgerator and went back 6 months later to buy yet another TV. Not once during those 2 transactions were we ever asked of we have property insurance. We are homeowners so of course we carry insurance, just discovered we have been charged and paid conn's 780.00 in their so called insurance because we never showed proof of insurance.??? Now even showing our proof of ins. for the past 2 yrs they refuse to refund our money. Come to find out the salesperson gets a commission not only on the purchase but also the ins. This is deceptive and we will never buy from Conn's again. I am reporting this company to the BBB and also the TX. Attorney Generals office. How do these deceptive people sleep at night knowing they are screwing hard working people day after day? Spend your hard earned money at a reputable store. Conn's dosen't understand or practice proffessional business practice. Their name is quite appropriate.

I BOUGHT A 65" PROJECTOR DLP FOR $2,700 WHEN THE FINANCE IT CAME UP ABOUT $3,200 THEY GAVE ME HIGH INTEREST LIKE 21% I BEEN PAYING THESE TV FOR 2 YEARS SINCE 2008 AND THEY SAID I STILL OWE THEM $2,300 I TOLD THEM COME I PICK UP YOUR TV THEY SAID THEY DONT HAVE NOBODY THEY DO PICK UPS THEY SAID TAKE THE TO THE STORE BACK YOURSELF AND THEY STILL GOING TO PUT IT IN COLLECTIONS EVEN IF A GET IT BACK TO THEM. I TOLD THEM THEY WERE CRAZY IF THEY THINK I WAS GOING TO KEEP PAYING FOR THESE TV FOR TWO MORE YEARS THEY SAID BECUASE I REFINANCE AND I LOWERED MY PAYMENTS, SO IF I KEEP PAYING IT BE ABOUT $4000 TV THEY CRAZY.I COULD BUY 4 TV,S WITH $4000 AND THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IF SOMETHING BROKEDOWN THEY NEVER REPLACED THEY TRY TO FIX IT ALOT TIMES IF HAPPEN TO ME WITH MY LITTLE GIRLS TV. Delivery IS HORRIBLE...salesman by the name of AL at Conn's on S. Gessner forgot to submit a ticket to the warehouse for our Refrigerator to be delivered. When arriving at the store they flock like cattle, but when you have a service issue they scatter like roaches...When my Refrigerator arrived it DID NOT FIT, after giving my measurements to unqualified salesman named AL...he told us that the refrigerator would fit perfectly...not only that the delivery guy did not take the refrigerator back after he couldn't fit it into the space...he told me to go to the store, and exchange it for another one....I arrived at the store, and no one wanted to help if I was not in the process of purchasing anything....

I do not know where to begin! Conn's Sucks! I will never buy from them again. I have talked to over 5 service employees and the resolution desk. No one ever calls back as promised. I have a washer that the service tech said he would recall and replace. Now I can not get anyone to take my call. I can not even get a supervisor on the phone when I ask for one. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

This is the WORST place to buy appliances. Iv'e bought a couple things here all at once and two years later everything is starting to break(washer and dryer, dryer eats my clothes, refrigerator and stove(both suck). Anyways their name fits them perfectly!!!!

i am try to make a payment due to water dammage i lost paper work and we called and were unable to get a stright answer and was told over20 please hold for over 10 min. just for a payment address then a few did come back to the phone only to say they don't know the address or where to send it. then we called back to get a mang. and a guy named chris said the mang. was busy so i asked for his name so i know who i can complain to and they didn't even know his name. so finally i get the mang. and his maneis JULIO GONGALES, MANG AT CONN'S ON 35 AND WALZEM. ITS ASHAME PEOPLE THAT WILL DO A JOB TO GET PAID CAN'T FIND ONE YET CONN'S IS PAYING PEOPLE JUST TO PUT US ON HOLD OR GIVE US THE BRUSH OFF AND STILL GETTING PAID........... Am I the luckiest guy in the world? I have bought 2 HP desktop computers, 2 large screen -1 SONY 55 in and SAMSUNG 61inch, also HOTPOINT electric range, 1 set mattress and boxsprings, and 2 LANE ROCKERS\RECLINERS W\MASSAGE and just last week a matched set of SAMSUNG H.E. WASHER AND DRYER and get this without any problem whatsoever. NO equipment failures,NO delivery problems,and no account difficulties and all this while on SSI. if only CONN'S sold cars my problems would be over. I hope all this people having problems with CONN'S GET THEIR PROBLEMS RESOLVED, at least this has been my experience with CONN'S in SAN ANTONIO, TX at the Military Drive store.

They are good people. You buy something. You pay for it. You obtain extended warranty. You will have no problem from them.
